Lack of Talent…

This morning I got up to yet ANOTHER rainy day, since this TS Fay doesn’t seem to want to move.  I swear, soon, I will be swimming to Publix!  Anyhow, my son started up bright and early this morning, with wanting to play his drums.  I started to notice, he is getting pretty good, pretty fast.  He hadn’t shown much interest in it this year, and all of a sudden, he’s decided he wants to play.  He also plays the piano, which his teachers are always telling me how quickly he picks up on everything, and if they show him something once, he just gets it.  (Must be nice)

For some reason, it prompted me to realize I don’t have any “talents”!  Dave can play the drums, Makenzie can do just about anything given to her, Austin is good at drums and piano, me, I can’t do squat!  Why did I get short-changed on the talent thing?  Doesn’t God know I want to play the piano and write songs?  Doesn’t he know my dream was to be on Broadway?  What’s up with this?  The best I can do is character voices like I am singing at Disney or Little Orphan Annie, but I don’t think there is a need on Broadway for a 36 year old 8 year old!  (Don’t email me if Little Orphan Annie wasn’t 8, I don’t stinkin’ know, and I don’t care, it was just an example!)  :)

Man, some people have all the luck!
